Art, Cinema and Human Stories on Climate Change

The Herakleidon Museum, in collaboration with EU Climate Pact Ambassadors Dr Alexandra Politaki and Giorgos Konstantinopoulos, is organising a special event dedicated to climate change, the European Green Deal and collective action for a sustainable future.

People from diverse professional and social backgrounds — producers, artists, representatives of institutions, civil society organisations and local authorities — will come together for an open dialogue aimed at informing, raising awareness and exchanging experiences around today’s environmental challenges.

The event is being held on the occasion of the United Nations World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought and will include:

• a film screening on the impacts of climate change

• a guided tour of an exhibition featuring artworks made from reused materials, known as trash art

• an open discussion

• storytelling and personal narratives around lived climate experiences

Through art, culture and citizen participation, the Herakleidon Museum highlights the role of museums as vibrant spaces for climate awareness and creates a new model of social interaction.

The event will take place at the Herakleidon Museum on 17 June 2026, from 19:00
